Synonym Journal, issue 1: Ennui
The theme of the first issue is ennui: “to weary by dullness, tedious repetition, and unwelcome attention.”
Synonym is a biannual journal and website created by Leigh Patterson and Amelia Giller. Presenting a variety of contributors on a select theme, Synonym explores how we use and make images and information and how photography, fashion, fiction, collage, drawing, poetry and interviews can create a story about what we are all living.

We are excited to have an interview with a photo collection created by Claire Cottrell and Stella Berkofsky of select objects from the store in outdoor compositions.
Seen above from top to bottom:
Ginger Lukas miniature porcelain goblet, IKO IKO miniature appetizer utensils, Rowena Sartin leather pillow purse, Julia Haft-Candell porcelain spoon, Zachary Leener Untitled (ceramic sculpture), Zachary Leener ceramic splatter bangle, Merkelware (Matt Merkel Hess) big spot jug.
We have a few copies for sale in store that come with a handpainted sleeve.
